disAbility connections (VIC)

the voice of people with disability across Victoria

disAbility Connections Victoria (formerly WRDN) is a network of over 1000 members comprising people with disabilities, their carers and families, service providers, government and community from across the Western and Northern suburbs of Metropolitan Melbourne who share an interest in disability issues.

Proudly hosted by annecto, the roles of  dCV are to:

  • disseminate information
  • build the capacity of people with disabilities and their carers
  • raise community awareness and provide advocacy through partnerships and collaboration

dCV is a passionate regional grassroots network that informs and empowers people with disability and those who support them to have an active presence and influential voice in community and civic life.

Collectively we promote participation, leadership, equality and a voice in decision-making through information exchange and systematic advocacy by building bridges and partnerships which focuses on information sharing, networking and regional disability service planning.

Through an independently elected committee dCV brings together people with a disability, their families and carers, self help groups, government, disability service providers, disability advocacy organisations and mainstream services.
